I could not recommend Dr Dexter enough for both medical and acupuncture treatment. I very rarely write reviews but I feel in this instance I had to write one as Dr Dexter, as a medical practitioner has been wonderful and I am now seeing him for acupuncture which I have found hugely helpful for a slipped disc. Dr Dexter goes beyond what one would expect from a doctor, his knowledge and expertise is vast and he is very empathetic and caring, I cannot recommend him highly enough for acupuncture and medical treatment.

Text: It's rare to find a Doctor who genuinely cares and wants to see patient progression as much as Doctor Dexter does with his clients. A an experienced Doctor is his field and specialising in this area of chronic migraines really helps Dr Dexter piece things together. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering from chronic migraine.

I was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome which causes paralysis on the left side of your face. I couldn't smile, eat, raise my eyebrows or close my eyelid. I was told it could take up to a year to recover. I had zero movement on my face, but miraculously, after each session of acupuncture with Dr Dexter, I started seeing more and more movement. Within 3-4 sessions, I almost had most of the movement back in my face. Not only is Dr Dexter an excellent acupuncturist, but given his medical experience, he was also able to provide invaluable advice on my condition. I would definitely recommend Dr Dexter!

I have been a patient of Dr. Dexter for nearly 20 years, previously as my GP and in more recent years as my medical acupuncture specialist. He is extremely professional in his practice and without him, I could not have proper pain management all these years. I am forever grateful to him.

Dr Dexter was instrumental in the correct diagnosis and treatment of what was a life changing condition.
It may seem strange to point this out as it is what doctors are meant to do but, it has been my experience that doctors can fail to make the right diagnosis and often do not take the time to understand a patients full history. Dr Dexter did just that and as a result, my mental and physical health is going from strength to strength.
Acupuncture was suggested to me by a friend and whilst previously resistant in the aftermath of 1 year of treatment (drugs and operations) and little progress, I was ready to give it a try.
Within three sessions, Dr Dexter had not only alleviated many of my symptoms but had taken the time to think about my symptoms in context with his years of experience and was sure that my diagnosis by 5 other specialist, may be incorrect. He then referred me to a colleague that he has worked with for a number of years and after tests etc, Dr Dexter's hunch was correct.
I am grateful for the time and thought that that Dr Dexter gave to my condition and for the progress that he has encouraged through his treatment plan and linking in other trusted colleagues.

Dr Dexter benefits from huge experience as a GP. He will try to understand the whole of 'you' before giving any acupuncture treatment. I felt in very good hands and well looked after!

Had an issue with lower back pain due to a sports injury. After a couple of acunpunture sessions with Dr Dexter my back responded well, he was professional and accommodating throughout - I'd definitely put him forward to friends and family.
